Analogy
In mission 1 you managed the building: security, rent and the prepaid card. Today you open the first unit.
Each sub-account is a unit: its own key, its own contacts, calendar and messages. What happens inside doesn't spill into the unit next door.
One business, one unit. If you take on a second business tomorrow, it gets its own.
Why it matters
Alba's cousin runs a food truck in Houston, and Alba figured she'd save time by putting both customer lists in one sub-account. It worked for a week. Then the first automatic reminder went out to sixty food-truck customers signed "Alba Studio," and nobody could tell which contact belonged to which business. Untangling them took a weekend. One business per unit: decide it today, while the unit is still empty.
Step-by-step guide
Menu paths are shown as they appear in the English interface. If your team works with the account in Spanish, the Spanish names are in parentheses. You set the language in mission 3.
If you have a business and you'll build on it, the sub-account is your business, under its real name.
If you don't have one yet, or want to practice first, open the practice one: "Alba Studio" plus your evidence code, as in Alba Studio AX-7K2Q.
If you're on Starter, it includes 3 sub-accounts. Don't spend them on tests: one is enough for all of AXIS Launch.
Key points
Agency View → Sub-Accounts → Create Sub-AccountIn a Spanish-language account: (vista de agencia) Subcuentas → Crear Subcuenta
From Agency View, open Sub-Accounts in the left menu and click Create Sub-Account.
The Select Snapshot Template window opens, with a SaaS Account / Regular Account switch set to SaaS Account. Switch it to Regular Account. If your plan doesn't show that switch, carry on without it.
Pick the first card, Blank snapshot, and click Select and continue. Starting blank, you build each piece yourself, mission by mission.
HighLevel offers to look up the business on a map. Choose Add Manually.
The Add Sub-Account form opens. Required fields: First Name, Last Name, Email, Business Name, Business Phone, Address, City, Country, Zip and Time Zone.
For the practice account, use sample Houston details and the time zone with America/Chicago. For Email and Business Phone, use your own, never made-up ones. The sub-accounts list shows the phone in the Phone column: cover it in your screenshot.
Leave Include sample data in this sub-account on. That's where the "(Example)" records inside come from.
If the question What type of account are you setting up? appears, it comes set to This is my client's account. Keep it for the practice account; choose This is my own account for your real business.
Click Add Sub-Account. HighLevel opens the new sub-account's page, and it already shows in the Sub-Accounts list.
Key points
SaaS Account is for HighLevel's SaaS resale mode, which AXIS covers in Phase IV. For your business or for practice, Regular Account.Settings → Business Profile. You'll check the time zone in mission 3.Source: F3, F12, F1, F2, F7, F10
Agency View → Sub-Accounts → Create Sub-AccountAccount switcher → Switch to Agency ViewIn the sub-accounts list, find the new one and click the ⇄ icon in the Actions column. Its tooltip reads Switch to Sub-Account (in Spanish, «Cambiar a subcuenta»).
Look at the switcher in the top left: it now shows your sub-account's name. You're inside the unit.
To go back to the building, open that switcher and choose Switch to Agency View.
Key points
Agency Sub-Account: it's the one you marked as your own account.Agency View → Settings → Users → (your user) → Roles & permissions → Add sub-accountsIn a Spanish-language account: (vista de agencia) Configuración → Usuarios → (tu usuario) → Roles & permissions → Add sub-accounts
A new sub-account starts with no users: its Settings → Users says No Users found. Not even your agency user is inside.
That's why its Settings shows no My Profile, and in mission 9 the calendar would show No Data under Select team member.
Go back to Agency View, open Settings → Users and click the pencil next to your user. Edit user opens.
On the Roles & permissions tab, find the Add sub-accounts field and add the new sub-account.
Save. When you go back into the sub-account, its Settings now shows My Profile.
Key points
Edit user in Agency View. The sub-account's + Add user button is for adding someone else.My Profile (mission 3) and you can't create your calendar (mission 9).Agency View → Settings → Billing → Notifications → WalletIn a Spanish-language account: (vista de agencia) Configuración → Facturación → Notifications → Wallet
Go back to Agency View and open Settings → Billing, the screen from mission 1. There, open the Notifications tab and, inside it, Wallet. Spending Alert Settings opens.
Two alerts come turned on. The first, Spending Alert for Agency, defaults to US$ 30,000 a month: at that amount you'd never hear a thing.
Lower it to an amount that would actually warn you. During the trial, for example, US$ 50 a month.
The second, Spending Alert for Sub-Accounts, comes set to Based on Average: it warns you when a sub-account spends twice its weekly average (2.0 ×).
If you'd rather have a fixed cap, choose Set a Fixed Limit with an amount and a period. For example, US$ 10 a week (Weekly).
Under Notification Recipients, the agency owner is included by default. You can add up to 5 people.
Save with Save Changes.
Key points
Agency View → Settings → Billing → Notifications → WalletDon't buy a phone number today. It has a monthly fee, and texting U.S. customers requires a registration that starts in mission 4.
Don't create extra sub-accounts to experiment. Deleting one takes 24 hours to become final and takes its numbers and registrations with it.

Interactive
This interactive is used inside your AXIS account.
Building, proving, checking and explaining in your own words happen inside your AXIS account, with your personal code and AXIS Tutor at your side.
If it breaks
Check the switcher in the top left: you need to be in Agency View. From there, open Sub-Accounts in the left menu.

Don't delete it yet. Ask AXIS Tutor or post in the community with a screenshot of the list. If it's the practice account, you can usually keep going.

Deleting takes 24 hours to become final and removes its numbers and A2P registrations. If you need more than 3, upgrade: HighLevel charges the prorated difference.

They're sample data, marked (Example). You can ignore or delete them.

It's in Agency View, under Settings → Billing → Notifications → Wallet: the same billing screen as mission 1. It's called Spending Alert Settings.
