Mission 1 · AXIS Launch

Your account, secured

Your account asks for a second code from your phone, your first billing date is in plain sight, and your wallet tops up with the amount and threshold you chose.

Result

Your account asks for a second code from your phone, your first billing date is in plain sight, and your wallet tops up with the amount and threshold you chose.

Estimated time
50 minutes
Cost
US$ 0. This mission uses no wallet balance.

Analogy

The wallet is a prepaid card: every text, email or AI minute comes out of it.

Think of your agency as a building you rent. The subscription is the rent: you pay it every month, whether you use the building or not.

The wallet is the building's prepaid card. Every message that goes out, every email, every AI minute, comes out of it.

When the balance drops below the line you set, the card refills itself from your credit card. Today you set that line and the amount.

Why it matters

Alba signed up for her trial on a Tuesday night in Houston, reusing the password from her email. She never wrote the date down. Fifteen days later, two charges hit her card the same morning: the subscription, which started when the trial ended, and a wallet top-up from her test calls. Both had been on the billing screen since day one. This mission takes 50 minutes so your story starts differently.

Step-by-step guide

Menu paths are shown as they appear in the English interface. If your team works with the account in Spanish, the Spanish names are in parentheses. You set the language in mission 3.

  1. Switch to Agency View and lock down your sign-in

Settings → My Profile → Security

In a Spanish-language account: Configuración → Mi perfil → Seguridad

A new agency already opens in Agency View: the switcher in the top left says Click here to switch. If you're inside a sub-account, open that switcher and choose Switch to Agency View. It's the building's management floor: security and billing for your whole account live there.

If your HighLevel password is the same one you use for email, change it first. Open Settings → My Profile → Security and, in the Password section, fill in Current password, New password and Confirm password. Finish with Update password. Use a password you use nowhere else.

On the same tab, find the Two-factor Authentication (2FA) App section and click Setup Two-factor Authentication (2FA) App.

Install an authenticator app on your phone, such as Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator.

Scan the QR code with the app, or type in the setup key. Enter the code the app shows you to confirm.

Store your 10 backup codes separate from your password: printed and locked away, or in a password manager other than the one that holds your HighLevel password. Never as a photo, note or chat on the app's phone. Each code works once.

When you're done, the Two-factor Authentication (2FA) App section shows the app as active. That's the screen for screenshot 1.

    Key points

    • Your password is the key to the building. The second code is the doorman: even with a copied key, no one gets past without it.
    • HighLevel can send you a code by email or phone when you sign in (the email arrives as "Login Security Code"). The app adds a method that doesn't go through your inbox or your phone number. When HighLevel asks for the second code, choose the app.
    • Only you can turn it on for your user. Not an admin, and not AXIS.
    • In a Spanish-language account, the section is called «Aplicación de autenticación de dos factores (2FA)». Its button reads «Configurar la aplicación de autenticación de dos factores (2FA)».

  2. Keep your billing date in plain sight

    Settings → Billing

    In a Spanish-language account: Configuración → Facturación

Open Settings → Billing. Your plan is there.

If you're on the trial, you'll see a Trial Plan badge and the notice Your trial will end in N days, where N is the days you have left. HighLevel shows days, not a date.

Count those days from today and write the date on your calendar, with a reminder two days before.

If you already pay, note your next billing date with the same reminder.

    Key points

    • The standard trial is 14 days. Some accounts get a longer trial, for example 30 days. What counts is the number of days your own Billing shows.
    • When the trial ends, the subscription starts billing on its own unless you cancel. Under HighLevel's terms, fees are non-refundable. Decide ahead of time, not the morning of.
    • Changing plans or canceling happens on this same Billing screen, from the Want to modify / cancel your subscription? card. "Manage your plan" is just the subtitle under your plan, not a button.
    • Don't start a second trial with another email. HighLevel's terms don't allow back-to-back trials, and accounts can be suspended for it.
    • In a Spanish-language account, Billing opens as «Tablero de facturación» and the badge reads «Plan de prueba». Its tabs stay in English.

  3. Decide how your wallet tops up

    Settings → Billing → Wallet & Transactions

    In a Spanish-language account: Configuración → Facturación → Wallet & Transactions

Open Settings → Billing → Wallet & Transactions. Auto recharge sits under your balance.

Auto recharge with is how much goes on your card. when balance is lower than is the balance that triggers it. With US$ 50 and US$ 25, a top-up of 50 happens when the balance drops below 25.

While you're on the trial, pick the lowest amount and threshold the screen offers.

Check Auto-update (HighLevel's help center calls it Smart Adjustment). If the top-up fires more than three times in seven days, HighLevel moves the amount to the next level. If you'd rather change the amount only by hand, turn it off: three-dot menu → Disable Auto-update → Yes.

    Key points

    • Auto recharge can't be turned off. What you control is how much and when.
    • Turning off Auto-update doesn't stop the top-ups. It only stops the amount from growing on its own.
    • The subscription and the wallet are billed separately. Wallet credit doesn't pay for the subscription.
    • This same tab shows what each sub-account used and what kind of usage it was: texts, calls, emails. In mission 2, with your first sub-account, you'll adjust the usage alerts, which come turned on.

  4. Book your kickoff call with HighLevel (if you're on the trial)

    speakwith.us/kickoff

HighLevel offers a free Kickoff Call to accounts in their trial: a personalized walkthrough of the platform with someone from its team.

Book it at speakwith.us/kickoff, HighLevel's booking page.

Bring three written questions: which plan fits what you're building, how texts and calls are billed in the U.S., and what to do first about your texting registration (A2P).

    Key points

    • According to HighLevel, new customers who take the call are over 50% more likely to stay on the platform.
    • If you were already a customer or your trial has ended, skip this step.

Interactive

One morning at Alba Studio

This interactive is used inside your AXIS account.

  1. 06Build
  2. 07Prove
  3. 08Check
  4. 09Teach it

This happens in your account.

Building, proving, checking and explaining in your own words happen inside your AXIS account, with your personal code and AXIS Tutor at your side.

  • Build. The task in your own HighLevel account, with its “done” criterion.
  • Prove. You upload your evidence and an AI reviews it first.
  • Check. Four questions, each option with its explanation.
  • Teach it. You explain it in your own words.

If it breaks

The mistakes that repeat most, and the way out.

My security code doesn't arrive when I sign in.

Check spam for an email titled "Login Security Code." If it still doesn't come, sign in with your Google account at app.gohighlevel.com. If you're your agency's only admin, contact HighLevel's official support: AXIS Tutor can draft the message for you.

I lost the phone with my authenticator app.

First, make sure nobody can use the codes on the lost phone: lock or erase it remotely. Sign in with a backup code and, once you're in, generate new codes under My Profile → Security. If your app had a cloud backup, restore your codes from it; if not, ask AXIS Tutor how to link it again. If you have no codes left, contact HighLevel's official support.

I can't find how to turn off auto recharge.

It can't be turned off; that's by design. Pick the lowest amount and threshold, and disable Auto-update if you don't want the amount to grow on its own.

Source: F3

I see wallet charges and I'm still on the trial.

That's expected: the trial doesn't charge the subscription, but usage is billed. Wallet & Transactions shows what kind of usage it was and which sub-account.

It won't let me book the Kickoff Call.

HighLevel offers it to accounts in their trial. If you were already a customer or your trial has ended, skip that step: nothing else in the mission depends on it.
