Lesson · Orientation and costs

What each plan includes and what costs extra

You have your plan table: what it includes, the add-ons you'll use with their price and whether they bill per agency or per sub-account, and the limits that matter.

Result

You have your plan table: what it includes, the add-ons you'll use with their price and whether they bill per agency or per sub-account, and the limits that matter.

Estimated time
35 minutes
Cost
US$ 0. You don't turn on any add-on today: you read your plan and decide.

Analogy

The building and its electrical panel.

Your agency is a building, and the plan is its lease: it says how many units you can have and which services come with the building.

Whatever the lease doesn't include costs extra. Some extras are signed per unit, like WhatsApp; others once for the whole building, like HIPAA.

Each unit's power isn't in the lease either: it runs through the panel, and the meter, your wallet, deducts it. You open that panel in the next lesson.

Why it matters

Alba saw a video that said HighLevel costs US$ 97, and she built her budget on that number. During the trial she turned on WhatsApp in her sub-account to reach her Spanish-speaking clients. In her first paid month, her card showed four charges: the plan, WhatsApp and two wallet top-ups. Nothing was hidden: the plan, add-ons and usage are billed separately, each on its own line. Today you build the table Alba skipped.

Step-by-step guide

Menu paths are shown as they appear in the English interface, with the Spanish name in parentheses for teams that work in Spanish. Prices are the ones HighLevel published on October 11, 2026: each has its source, and any of them can change.

  1. Read your plan in Billing

    Settings → Billing → Subscriptions

    In a Spanish-language account: Configuración → Facturación → Subscriptions

From Agency View, open Settings → Billing. Your plan is on the Subscriptions tab.

Write down its name and price. That's the first row of your table.

If you're on the trial, the Trial Plan badge and the Your trial will end in N days notice are still there. Copy your first billing date into your table, the one you worked out in mission 1.

If you already pay, copy your next billing date.

Don't click Skip Trial & Pay: it ends the trial and starts billing the plan. Don't open the Want to modify / cancel your subscription? card either: today you only look.

    Key points

    • The standard trial is 14 days. Some accounts get a longer trial, for example 30 days. What counts is the number of days your own Billing shows.
    • When the trial ends, billing starts on its own unless you cancel. Usage can be charged from day one of the trial.
    • A HighLevel help article from October 2025 says the US$ 497 plan has no trial. Today's pricing page offers one on every plan. That's why your screen wins.
    • In a Spanish-language account, the badge reads «Plan de prueba» and the Billing tabs stay in English.

  2. Compare your plan with the other two

    gohighlevel.com/pricing

Open HighLevel's pricing page, gohighlevel.com/pricing. On October 11, 2026, it listed three plans with prices.

Starter, US$ 97 a month: 3 sub-accounts, unlimited contacts and users, 24/7 support and all core features.

Unlimited, US$ 297 a month: everything in Starter plus unlimited sub-accounts, phone and email rebilling at cost (no markup) and basic API access.

Agency Pro, US$ 497 a month: everything in Unlimited plus SaaS Mode, automated sub-account creation, rebilling with markup, user reporting and advanced API access.

Paid yearly, each plan costs ten months: US$ 970, US$ 2,970 and US$ 4,970 a year. Enterprise has no public price.

Copy your plan's row into your table.

    Key points

    • No plan includes usage. Texts, calls, phone numbers, emails and AI cost extra on all three.
    • Plan names change from page to page. A 2025 HighLevel help article compares "Starter," "Freelancer" and "Agency Pro": by its features, "Freelancer" matches Unlimited. Agency Pro also appears as "Pro" or the "US$ 497 SaaS plan" instead. Go by the price.
    • To earn on your clients' usage, you need Agency Pro: the pricing guide reserves rebilling with markup for that plan. Unlimited rebills at cost.
    • An FAQ on the pricing page says Unlimited users often add a markup. That contradicts the pricing guide and the plan's own card, so we teach the safe version.
    • No price is permanent. Next to each one, write the date you saw it.

  3. Separate what goes on the card from what comes out of the wallet

What the plan doesn't include arrives two ways.

On the card, like the plan: monthly add-ons. HighLevel names the WhatsApp subscription, Yext, WordPress hosting and other reselling options.

From the wallet: usage. Phone, email, email validation, AI, address autocomplete and premium workflow actions.

Your agency's wallet pays for the usage of all your sub-accounts. HighLevel never charges your client directly.

In your table, write the word "card" next to each add-on. Usage goes on a single line: "wallet, worked out in I.1.3" and nothing more.

    Key points

    • Some add-ons have both parts. WhatsApp charges US$ 10 a month per sub-account to the card, and the messages that are charged come out of the wallet.
    • Wallet credit doesn't pay your agency subscription.
    • If a subscription payment fails, you keep access for 21 days from the failed payment. After that, the account is locked.

  4. Sort the add-ons: per sub-account or per agency

    Settings → Billing → Subscriptions

    In a Spanish-language account: Configuración → Facturación → Subscriptions

On the same Subscriptions tab, look at two blocks. Addons offers agency-wide ones, like HIPAA Compliance. Reselling lists the ones turned on per sub-account (AI Employee, WhatsApp, Email IP…). There you see the plan and how many are sold, for example "Standard Plan (0 * $10)" and "0 sold." Their prices, with dates, are below.

Don't turn anything on today. Sort them first.

Per sub-account: you pay once for each sub-account where you turn it on. Three sub-accounts with WhatsApp means three charges.

    Monthly per sub-account: WhatsApp US$ 10 (as of Sep 22, 2026). As of Oct 11, 2026: Branded Client Portal App US$ 49, AI Employee Growth US$ 50 or Unlimited US$ 97, Prospecting US$ 29, Listings US$ 30 and SEO US$ 79.

Per agency: one charge for the whole account, however many sub-accounts you have. HIPAA US$ 297, your agency's own branded mobile app US$ 497 and premium support US$ 500, monthly (as of Oct 11, 2026).

A dedicated email IP is billed per IP: US$ 59 a month each, to the agency (as of Oct 11, 2026).

Free or nearly free: Ad Manager costs nothing. Premium workflow actions come with 100 free lifetime runs per sub-account; after that, US$ 0.01 each.

Copy into your table only the ones you'll use in the next 90 days: name, price with its date, and whether it's per agency or per sub-account.

    Key points

    • HIPAA can't be canceled, refunded, removed or downgraded once it's on. It's billed once for the whole account, but it's then switched on by hand in each sub-account that needs it. It only makes sense if you handle protected health information under U.S. law and need the BAA it includes.
    • AI Employee Growth includes 100 voice AI minutes and 1,000 responses a month; anything over that is billed per use. With no plan, AI is paid per use from the wallet.
    • A dedicated IP exists only on the US$ 297 and US$ 497 plans. HighLevel advises sending at least 50,000 emails a week to use one.
    • Workflow Pro is the unclear case. The September 2025 help article says it's bought in each sub-account's workflow settings, in bundles from US$ 10 a month. In one place, the pricing guide says it's for the agency. Check how your screen bills it before you buy.
    • The Branded Client Portal App is still labeled an "introductory price" in HighLevel's changelog, so it may go up.
    • The WhatsApp subscribe screen shows a 1-month commitment. The help article on canceling promises a prorated refund for unused days. Read the terms on your screen before you subscribe.
    • The agency menu also has Add-Ons («Complementos») and Reselling («Reventa»). Don't turn anything on from there today.

  5. Build your table and mark your limits

Build your table in three blocks, in a spreadsheet or in your notes.

Block 1 · Included in your plan: name, price, next billing date or trial end date, how many sub-accounts and what rebilling it allows.

Block 2 · Add-ons you'll actually use: name, price with its date, per agency or per sub-account, and the word "card" beside each. If you won't use any, write "None for now" and why.

Block 3 · Limits that matter to you: the ones that collide with your plans for the next six months.

For example: Starter stops at 3 sub-accounts. Without Agency Pro, there's no SaaS Mode and no markup on usage. A dedicated IP needs the US$ 297 plan or higher.

End with one line that reads "Usage: wallet, worked out in I.1.3" and nothing else.

Take your Subscriptions screenshot with the browser tab in view.

    Key points

    • Downgrading doesn't cancel add-ons, phone numbers or Marketplace apps. If you downgrade, cancel each one separately.
    • If you run two businesses, each one goes in its own sub-account. A per-sub-account add-on turned on in both is paid twice.
    • Review your table every month and whenever HighLevel announces a price change.

  4. 09Teach it

This happens in your account.

Building, proving, checking and explaining in your own words happen inside your AXIS account, with your personal code and AXIS Tutor at your side.

  • Build. The task in your own HighLevel account, with its “done” criterion.
  • Prove. You upload your evidence and an AI reviews it first.
  • Check. Four questions, each option with its explanation.
  • Teach it. You explain it in your own words.

If it breaks

The mistakes that repeat most, and the way out.

I don't know which plan I have: the help center calls it something else.

Go by the price under Settings → Billing → Subscriptions. A 2025 help article uses "Freelancer" for the plan whose features match Unlimited, and "Pro" or the "US$ 497 SaaS plan" for Agency Pro.

My screen shows a trial length other than 14 days.

That's normal. The standard trial is 14 days. Some accounts get a longer trial, for example 30 days. What counts is the number of days your own Billing shows.

I downgraded and I'm still being charged for an add-on.

Downgrading doesn't cancel add-ons, phone numbers or Marketplace apps. Cancel each one separately.

I want to cancel HIPAA and it won't let me.

It can't be done: HIPAA can't be canceled, refunded or downgraded once it's on. If you think it was turned on by mistake, AXIS Tutor can draft the ticket for HighLevel support.
