Module I.1 · Phase I · Foundation

Orientation and costs in GoHighLevel

What you will have when you finish

  • You have a written map of your building, with what's managed at the agency and what lives in each sub-account, and you're a user of your own sub-account.
  • You have your plan table: what it includes, the add-ons you'll use with their price and whether they bill per agency or per sub-account, and the limits that matter.
  • You have your client's monthly usage budget worked out with real, dated prices, and a weekly spending alert set to match it.

This module's analogy

The building and its electrical panel.

Since Launch you've known that the agency is the building and each sub-account is a unit. In this module you look at it the way the property manager does.

Management decides what applies to the whole building: the lease, the prepaid card and the floor plans copied from one unit to the next. The sign at the entrance, too.

Each unit keeps its own things: its customers, its messages, its phone, its email and its calendar.

And each person gets a key: some open the whole building; others, just one unit. Today you draw that floor plan. The electrical panel, which meters who's spending, comes in lesson 3.

Why it matters

Alba hired a front-desk assistant for Alba Studio and set her up as an Agency user, without knowing there were two types. A week later, the assistant asked why she could also get into the sub-account for Alba's cousin's food truck. An Agency user can enter every unit in the building; an Account user, only the ones you assign. Alba fixed it in five minutes, but she kept wondering what else was on the wrong floor. This lesson is the map she was missing.
