Module I.2 · Phase I · Foundation

Security and team in GoHighLevel

What you will have when you finish

  • Your master key needs two locks, your backup codes live off your phone, your agency closes forgotten sessions and HighLevel's support badge is under your control.
  • You have a test user with exactly the key a front-desk assistant needs, created in your sub-account (the practice one or your business's) and tested in a private window.
  • You have an access register with one user's full life, from onboarding to offboarding, and you know which keys you never lend a freelancer.

This module's analogy

The keys to the building.

In Module I.1 you drew the building. In this module you look after its keys.

Your owner login is the master key: it opens the management floor and every unit. That's why it needs two locks, your password and the code from your phone. If someone copies the key, they still don't have the code.

The management floor's door closes on its own when nobody uses it for a while: that's Session Timeout.

And when HighLevel's technician comes to check something, they get a visitor badge with an expiration date: Support Access. Today you check all three.

Why it matters

The front-desk computer at Alba Studio in Houston stays on all night, with Alba's HighLevel session open. Her login is the master key: it opens the agency and every sub-account. One Monday, a client replied, upset, to a text nobody at the studio remembered sending. Alba couldn't tell who sent it, because everything went out under her name. Today you make your key need two locks and your door close on its own.
